The Independent High Electoral Commission ( IHEC) called on the Kurdish parties to support its work in holding the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections, stressing its standing at an equal distance from everyone to achieve electoral justice and preserve the votes of voters. The Commission said in a statement that it: "calls on the parties, political alliances and candidates participating in the electoral process to support its work and contribute to the success of the elections by adhering to the rules of electoral conduct and the controls of the electoral campaign system that it has established under the Electoral Campaigns System No. (2) of 2023." The Commission stressed that "election campaigns should not include ideas that incite violence, hatred, or abuse of other candidates and competing parties, until Election Day and the announcement of the final results," noting the need to follow legal methods in submitting complaints and appeals and avoiding actions and reactions between competitors. Added that "Complaints and appeals submitted will be considered in accordance with the systems and mechanisms set by the Commission with complete neutrality and independence." It also called on partners in the electoral process (voters, alliances, political parties, candidates, observers, media professionals, and all those concerned with electoral affairs) to support the work of the Commission and contribute to its efforts that aim to organize and conduct free, fair and honest elections that enjoy the confidence of all." The Election Commission confirmed that it works professionally and neutrally and stands at an equal distance from everyone to achieve electoral justice and preserve voters' votes.
