The Italian-Arab Friendship Association condemned, on Saturday, the crime of the Israeli occupation, which killed five journalists and their families in the Gaza Strip. The Association said, in a statement, that 'a new group of journalists joins the convoy of martyrs of the genocidal war waged by the occupation army against the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, after the criminal killing machine targeted five journalists and their families during the past hours, bringing the number of journalist martyrs who rose since the start of this aggression to 162, they were killed with all brutality, with premeditation, within the framework of this bloody government's policy, to punish them for fulfilling their mission, and to obscure the truth of the atrocities being committed against civilians.' It stated, 'This massacre carried out by the occupation government, against the press and journalists, without any regard to the consequences of its violation of international laws that stress their protecti on and facilitation of their work requires a firm stance from the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations, imposing urgent measures to stop it, and holding the occupation leaders accountable for their ongoing crimes.' The Italian-Arab Friendship Association affirmed its 'stand by the Palestinian people and continues its solidarity campaign.' It is noteworthy that the number of journalist martyrs who rose since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip after October 7 last reached 162 martyrs.
