The Minister Of Interior: More Than Three And A Half Million Visitors From Outside Iraq Entered In Iraq

The Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee to secure the Arbaeen pilgrimage, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, announced the arrival of more than three and a half million visitors from outside Iraq to perform the Arbaeen pilgrimage ceremony of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

A statement by his media office said that Al-Shammari held a meeting in the holy city of Najaf with its governor, Majid Al-Waeli, to discuss the progress of the security and service plan for the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

The governor confirmed, according to the statement, that "this visit is very important, and it is considered a message of support by the Minister of the Interior for the holy city of Najaf," expressing his thanks to "the minister for his great interest in this province, which is completely safe."

For his part, the Minister of Interior expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for his continuous support for the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), noting that the Najaf Police Command is ready to perform the tasks and duties assigned to it and is equipped with all needs.

He indicated that "Al-Najaf Governorate has been strengthened with the full support of an intelligence effort, equipment, various mechanisms, and additional numbers."

Al-Shammari stressed the importance of the security leaders' readiness for the reverse distributing of visitors, stressing that "the world is looking at this million-man visit, so challenges must be overcome to make it a success."

Al-Shammari referred to "the arrival of more than three and a half million visitors from outside Iraq," expressing his "thanks to all the security forces and the service effort that works to provide the best services to the visitors of the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him).
