The Minister of Planning discusses with the new Turkish Ambassador the strengthening and development of economic and investment relations

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the government is serious about implementing the development path represented by the railway line and the land road. A statement by the Ministry of Planning stated that this came during the Minister's reception of the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, and his accompanying delegation, where the meeting witnessed a discussion of bilateral relations between the two countries and the consolidation of constructive cooperation. In order to activate what was agreed upon during the Turkish President's recent visit to Baghdad, which witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding in various fields. The two sides also discussed the prospects for joint cooperation in the economic, investment, trade, and quality control fields and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to discussing the water file between the two countries. The meeting also discus sed developments in implementing the development path, activating the investment promotion agreement between Iraq and Turkey, discussing the water file, and joint measures in this aspect.
