Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the necessity of providing an appropriate environment that guarantees the safe and stable return of the displaced to their areas, by rehabilitating and reconstructing their areas, and removing the traces and ideas left behind by terrorist gangs. The President of the Republic indicated during his meeting with the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, according to a presidential statement that "the continued existence of displacement camps is no longer appropriate at all, especially with the disappearance of the reasons and justifications for their establishment, stressing the importance of concerted all efforts for the success of the directions of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, in resolving this file, closing the displacement camps completely, and the need for the United Nations organizations to carry out their duties and fulfill their obligations in a positive manner that contributes t o ending this file.' For her part, the Minister of Immigration reviewed 'the recent developments on the issue of displaced persons, and the treatments that have been adopted to ensure and provide the requirements for a decent life for them, appreciating at the same time His Excellency's interest in this file and the valuable proposals he expressed in this regard.'
