President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed that the security and economic stability currently witnessed by Iraq provide fertile ground for attracting diverse investments. The presidency stated in a statement: "The President met today with the President of the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, Dhu al-Fiqar Hoshi Khalaf, and the accompanying delegation, which included a number of members of the Syndicate and its cadres." The two sides discussed the challenges and problems facing the Iraqi engineer and the means to overcome them. The necessity of adopting the professional progression of engineering college graduates during their employment in state institutions, and paying attention to training programs and holding seminars, in addition to opening areas of cooperation to exchange experiences with other countries to contribute to the advancement of the engineering sector in the country. The President of the Republic explained that the security and economic stability currently witnessed by Iraq provid e fertile ground for attracting diverse investments, and at the same time they are an opportunity to support the path of development and progress witnessed by Iraq at various levels. For their part, the members of the visiting delegation appreciated the President's interest in Iraqi engineers, his follow-up of their problems, and his constant keenness to support them, stressing their tireless efforts to provide state institutions with many local competencies in a way that helps in completing all projects in various sectors.
