The foul smell of sulfur once again dominated the atmosphere of the suburbs of the capital, Baghdad, in the early hours of Saturday morning, as thick, suffocating smoke covered areas north of Baghdad, reaching its east. For a few months, the smell of sulfur and foggy smoke has repeatedly dominated the suburbs and areas of the capital, Baghdad, as local circles believe that it is the result of gaseous emissions accompanying waste burning operations at the former Rashid Camp site, south of the capital.
