The political arena in Diyala is witnessing a movement to form a new alliance that will run in the upcoming provincial elections.

An informed source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "A political movement is taking place in Diyala to form a new political alliance that includes the various factions of the province to run in the upcoming local elections."

He added, "The movement conducted dialogues and contacts with personalities that have an active and important role," noting: "The new coalition will be a competitor to the parties operating in the political arena in Diyala and away from the traditional parties."
