Training Curriculum Launched on Dealing with Diplomats and their Personal Belongings

The Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the General Authority of Customs (GAC) yesterday launched a joint training pouch on dealing with diplomats and their personal belongings and diplomatic parcels.

The training pouch agreement was signed by Director of the Diplomatic Institute HE Ambassador Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr and Assistant Chairman for Services and Support Affairs at the General Authority of Customs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Maadeed.

Dr Horr commended the initiative of the Training Centre at the General Authority of Customs to develop this training pouch, given its importance to the customs officer and the diplomat alike. He noted that a lot of things happen at land, air and sea ports, therefore it is important to have awareness among workers at the ports and diplomats about how to deal with diplomatic customs affairs.
