Trump Postpones Strikes on Iranian Power Plants for Five Days

Washington: US President Donald Trump announced that he has ordered the United States military to delay strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days. This decision follows what Trump described as "good and productive conversations" with Tehran, aimed at resolving hostilities in the Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, Trump shared on his Truth Social platform that the discussions over the past two days have been promising, leading to the decision to pause military action. He emphasized that the United States and Iran are working towards a complete resolution of their conflicts in the region.

Trump had previously issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Tehran on Saturday, demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to all vessels. He warned that failure to comply would result in the US "obliterating" Iran's power plants. The current pause in military action is contingent upon the progress of ongoing meetings and discussions between the two nations.
