Abu dhabi: HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation on Saturday. Both sides exchanged views on a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion focused on Middle Eastern developments and their repercussions for regional and international peace and security. The leaders also addressed the impact of these developments on the world's freedom of navigation, energy security, and economy.
