Ukrainian Defense Minister: Preparations For The Counterattack Are In The Final Stage

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed that the preparations of the Ukrainian defense forces for the counterattack are in the final stages.

"The preparations are coming to an end, because in addition to providing weapons and military equipment, our soldiers must master these weapons, and we have received very modern systems," Reznikov said at a press conference today, Friday, according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

He added: "Aside from the Tank Alliance (which primarily includes Leopard 2 tanks and Challenger tanks, and the Leopard 1 tanks will arrive at a later date), we are still waiting for the Abrams tanks that will not participate in the counterattack, I think, but our crews have already left for training." Ukraine currently has a sufficiently large number of armored vehicles.

The minister continued, "The equipment has been pledged, prepared, and partially delivered, and there is equipment on which training programs will be completed, after which its crews will arrive when the time and place are determined, and in general, we are ready," noting that the Ukrainian General Staff will make a decision regarding when and where it will start counterattack."
