US Soldiers Injured in Rocket Attack on Iraq Base

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced Monday that a number of American soldiers were injured in a missile attack on a base in western Iraq. The Pentagon confirmed that the damage to the base after the attack is being assessed. US media outlets quoted officials as saying that the "Ain al-Assad" air base was attacked in Iraq. According to a statement issued by the White House, US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were briefed on the attack that hit the base located in Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.
