11 Killed in Tornadoes and Storms in US

At least 11 people were killed after tornadoes and strong storms swept through areas of the US south and Midwest, and caused the collapse of many buildings.

The dead included four in the small town of Wynne, Arkansas. Other deaths were reported in Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi the Little Rock area.

The storms killed three people in Sullivan County, Indiana. In the Little Rock area, at least one person was killed and more than two dozen were hurt, some critically.

In Belvidere, Illinois, a tornado killed one person and injured 28, five of them severely, fire chief Shawn Schadle said.
