3.7-magnitude Earthquake Hits Sulaymaniyah in Northern Iraq

An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale struck today Sulaymaniyah Governorate in northern Iraq.

In a statement, the seismic observatory in the Iraqi Meteorological Authority stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was 49 km southeast of the Jamjamal area in the Sulaymaniyah governorate. No human or material losses were reported as a result of the quake, the statement added.
