A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hits the coast of the Sea of Japan

The Japanese Meteorological Administration announced that an earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit the Sea of Japan coast in Ishikawa Prefecture.

The Administration said in a statement: "The epicenter of the tremor is located at a depth of 10 kilometers."

It added that there were no reports of injuries or damages due to the tremor.
