Joint forces launched a security operation on the administrative borders between Diyala and Salah al-Din governorates.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “Joint security forces began, from two axes, sweeping areas within Mutaybija sector, between Diyala and Salah al-Din.”

He added: “The operation includes several areas with the aim of tracking down ISIS terrorist cells, sweeping valleys and slopes, and redeploying security according to accurate intelligence information.”
