Doha: The Qatari U-17 national football team defeated Nepal 5-0 in their match Friday at Aspire Academy 7 Stadium, in the second round of Group 6 in the 2025 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers for the finals scheduled in Saudi Arabia from April 3 to 20. The goals of the Qatari team were scored by Yazan Hani in the 20th minute, captain Zaid Faisal "hat-trick" in the 45th, 56th and 82nd minutes, and Omar Al Marzouqi in the 65th minute, to put Qatar at the top of the group with six points from two matches, while Japan come in second with three points awaiting their match against Mongolia later Friday at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, while Nepal and Mongolia remain without points.
