Algeria, Spain Foreign Ministers Talk Middle East Tensions

Algiers: Algeria's Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf met on Thursday with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares, who is currently visiting Algeria. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several regional and international issues, primarily the escalating situation in the Middle East. They also discussed bilateral ties, focusing on ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between Attaf and Albares centered largely on the pressing tensions in the Middle East, which have been a significant concern for both nations. The foreign ministers aimed to identify potential collaborative efforts to contribute to regional stability.

In addition to addressing international issues, the meeting also served as a platform to explore opportunities for enhancing Algeria-Spain relations. The energy sector emerged as a key area of interest for both countries, with both ministers expressing a desire to deepen cooperation and investment in this vital industry.
