Ashghal Reaffirms Commitment to Accessibility in Healthcare Facility Design

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced its commitment to incorporating accessibility features for people with disabilities in the design and construction of healthcare facilities. This initiative aims to enhance access to services, promote independence, and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ashghal emphasized in a post on X that its healthcare projects adhere to accessibility-focused design standards. These include the implementation of wide corridors, accessible entrances and parking areas, automatic doors, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and Braille signage for visitors who are visually impaired.
