Beirut: The Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon announced today that 10 people were killed and 27 others injured as a result of new Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in southern Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry detailed that an Israeli strike on the town of Arabsalim in the Nabatieh District resulted in the deaths of six people, including three children and two women, and left 12 others injured. Another strike on the town of Harouf claimed the life of one child and wounded five individuals. Additionally, an attack on the town of Roumine killed three people, including two children, and injured one person. In Zibqin, another Israeli strike injured nine people, including four women.
Earlier today, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 2,896 killed and 8,824 wounded. Israeli forces have continued their operations in southern Lebanon despite a truce that began on Apr. 16 for an initial ten days and was subsequently extended for an additional three weeks starting Apr. 23.
