The Babylon Health Department announced on Friday that the number of registered cases of immunodeficiency virus (AIDS) in the governorate has reached (27) cases since the beginning of the current year 2024. The Director General of the Babylon Health Department, Dr. Haider Al-Birmani, said, 'The numbers circulated on some social media sites are greatly exaggerated. Al-Birmani called on the media to be accurate and obtain information from official sources. He called on those infected to visit the Immunodeficiency Center at Imam al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital to provide the necessary medicines and treatments for the disease to receive treatment.
