Canceling the Requirement of Getting Hayya Cards for GCC Citizens and Residents Who Don’t Have Match Tickets

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and who do not hold a match ticket for the FIFA World Cup will be allowed to enter the State of Qatar without a Hayya Card, via different ports of the State, according to regular procedures. This shall be as of today, December 6, 2022 as follows:

First: Mechanism of entry through airports: Citizens and residents of GCC countries coming to the State of Qatar will be able to enter, without requiring registration through the Hayya platform. This shall be as of today, December 6, 2022.

Second: Entering the State through the land port using buses: Transportation by buses will be available to all travelers through the land port, as is the case under normal circumstances, and parking spaces will be allocated for visitors without fees.

Third: Entry mechanism through the land port using private vehicles: Citizens and residents of GCC countries coming through land ports with their private vehicles, will be able to enter the State as of December 8, 2022. They must apply for a permit on MOI website at least 12 hours before a travel date. They will not be required to make payment for a vehicle entry permit fee.
