Geng added the Syrian government has taken positive measures to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to all regions and facilitated issuance visas for humanitarian workers.

The Chinese official indicated that the Security Council should take into account the developments of the situation in Syria and the implementation of Resolution No. 2672 in its planning for the next stage of work in a scientific manner, to continue providing humanitarian relief in Syria and alleviating its humanitarian crisis.

Regarding landmines’ blast left behind by the terrorists in Syria, Geng said: the landmines are still causing casualties among civilians, threatening the safety and security of humanitarian workers, and impeding humanitarian relief efforts.
