Chinese Foreign Minister Discusses Escalation in Middle East, Ukrainian Crisis with Russian Counterpart

Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov Tuesday the escalation in the Middle East and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. During their meeting in Beijing, Wang emphasized the need for continued strategic coordination between China and Russia on major international and regional issues amid the "highly volatile international situation and the increasing damage caused by unilateral hegemony."

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also covered preparations for an upcoming meeting between the presidents of China and Russia later this year, highlighting the ongoing diplomatic engagements between the two countries in addressing pressing global challenges.
