CRA: 15 new members joined (IPv6) Taskforce

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has announced that 15 new members have joined the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) Taskforce, bringing the total number of members to 33, representing government entities, private companies, service providers, academic institutions, and financial institutions, in addition to aviation, oil and gas sectors.

The CRA established the IPv6 Taskforce to facilitate IPv6 adoption in Qatar. The members of the taskforce ensure the readiness of their network to adopt IPv6 and ensure a smooth and gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6.

The taskforce’s primary mission is educating and promoting IPv6 by providing technical consultations and training, in addition to providing necessary guidelines to entities wishing to adopt IPv6.
