Mr Salem Hussein Al Safran, Assistant Director of the Department of Natural Reserves at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) and Vice Chairman of the Winter Camping Organizing Committee, has affirmed that the deadline for removing the camps of 2021/2022 winter camping season will end on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
He also pointed out that the deadline for camp owners to remove camps until May 14 has been given despite the end of the winter camping season on May 2, 2022, with the aim of providing an opportunity for people wishing to continue camping during this period, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Fitr holiday.
Mr.Al Safran called upon camp owners to dismantle and remove their camps on time in order to prevent any violations. He noted that the specialized environmental teams would carry out inspections and follow-up operations in order to take legal measures against any violations.
