Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression against the country, which began on Mar. 2, has risen to 2,124, with 6,921 wounded. According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry's Health Emergency Operations Center stated in a press release that additional casualties were recorded in a series of new Israeli airstrikes targeting towns and other facilities in southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of victims to 2,124 dead and 6,921 wounded. In a related development, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Tayr Falsay Bridge, another on the town of Burj Rahal, and an area near the destroyed Qasmiyeh Bridge, as well as other locations in the south. It is worth noting that the Israeli entity has expanded its operations in Lebanese territory to include the capital, Beirut, and the eastern and central regions, while delegations representing both sides traveled to Washington DC, to begin direct talks aimed at reaching a ceas efire agreement under US auspices.
