Department of Meteorology Forecasts Hot Weather Daytime, Warns of Strong Winds

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for strong winds and high seas offshore for the day. In its daily weather forecast, the Department indicated that inshore conditions until 6:00 pm will vary from relatively hot to hot during the daytime, while offshore areas are projected to remain fine.

According to Qatar News Agency, inshore winds are expected to be northwesterly, ranging from 07 to 17 knots, with gusts reaching up to 27 knots during the daytime. Offshore, winds will also follow a northwesterly pattern, varying between 10 to 20 knots, with occasional gusts reaching 27 knots.

Sea conditions inshore are predicted to range from 2 to 4 feet, with potential increases to 5 feet at times. Offshore seas are forecasted to be between 3 to 6 feet, with the possibility of rising to 8 feet occasionally. Visibility both inshore and offshore is expected to range from 5 to 9 kilometers.
