Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Sunday will be hazy to misty at places at first with scattered clouds and will be partly cloudy at times with a chance of light rain by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will see scattered clouds to partly cloudy at times with a chance of light rain by night. The report warns of expected strong wind and high sea by night.

Wind inshore will initially be variable, becoming northwesterly at a speed of 05 – 15 KT, gusting to 25 KT at places at times. Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 05 – 15 KT, increasing to 10 – 20 KT and gusting to 28 KT by night.

The sea state inshore will be 1 – 3 ft, rising to 3 – 5 ft by night, while offshore conditions will be 2 – 4 ft, rising to 4 – 9 ft by night. Visibility inshore will range from 5 – 9 km, dropping to 3 km or less at places at first, while offshore visibility will remain between 5 – 9 km.
