Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6:00 am on Sunday will be hazy and cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, potentially thundery, accompanied by blowing dust in certain areas, according to the Department of Meteorology. The department issued a warning of thundery rain associated with strong winds and poor horizontal visibility in some places.
According to Qatar News Agency, the offshore conditions will also be cloudy with scattered rain, which may become thundery at times. The Department of Meteorology has cautioned about strong winds, high seas, and thundery rain in specific locations.
The wind inshore is expected to be southeasterly to northeasterly at a speed of 08 to 18 knots, gusting to 30 knots in areas experiencing thundery rain, before shifting to northwesterly later. Offshore winds will initially be southeasterly to easterly at 08 to 18 knots, gusting to 22 knots, and are anticipated to become northwesterly at 15 to 25 knots, gusting to 32 knots with thundery rain.
Visibility is forecasted to be between 04 to 08 kilometers, potentially reducing to 02 kilometers or less in some areas at times. The sea state inshore will range from 1 to 4 feet, surging to 5 feet occasionally. Offshore, the sea will initially be 3 to 5/7 feet, surging to 4 to 8/11 feet during thundery rain.
