According to Qatar News Agency, the two ministers reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Italy, while also exchanging views on current regional crises.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to support US-Iran negotiations and pursuing political solutions through dialogue, urging continued commitment to diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire and easing regional tensions.
Turning to the situation in Gaza, the Egyptian foreign minister warned that escalating regional developments should not distract from implementing the second phase of a US peace plan, including the deployment of an international stabilization force. He also called for ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza and launching early recovery and reconstruction programs to address the worsening humanitarian conditions.
The call comes as regional diplomacy continues to focus on de-escalation efforts across several conflict hotspots in the Middle East.
