Katara Hosts Global Teen Art Showcase

Doha: Katara Cultural Village hosted the digital showcase of the Teen Art Awards, an international initiative empowering young artists aged 13-17 from more than 60 countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, Director of the British Council in Qatar, Dr. Wasim Qutub, emphasized that the initiative strengthens cultural dialogue and nurtures a new generation of creative leaders through art and digital innovation. He highlighted the importance of such events in fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration among young artists worldwide.

Founder and CEO of Art Foundation, Daria Kalinina, described the program as a global platform connecting emerging talents through shared creativity beyond borders. She noted the significance of providing young artists with an opportunity to express themselves on an international stage, further enriching the global art scene.

This season's theme, "Belonging," explores identity, heritage, and memory, reflecting Qatar's multicultural landscape and its growing status as a hub for emerging artistic talent. The theme encourages participants to delve into their personal experiences and cultural backgrounds, creating a diverse tapestry of artistic expression that resonates with audiences globally.
