Eight US soldiers were injured in an attack targeting a base in Syria with a drone.

The US Department of Defense “Pentagon” said in a statement: “Last week, 8 US soldiers were injured in a drone attack on a base in Syria.”

The Pentagon Spokesman, Patrick Ryder, indicated to reporters that “3 soldiers have already returned to service, and the 8 soldiers received treatment for brain injuries and smoke inhalation.”

Before that, the Pentagon had announced on August 8 that 5 soldiers were injured in an attack targeting the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq, which hosts US forces and forces from the international coalition to fight ISIS, 4 of whom were military service members, and one contractor.
