Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed by phone the Israeli attacks on Gaza, bilateral relations, and regional and international developments. The Turkish Presidency's Communications Department said in a statement on Monday evening that the two leaders also discussed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip during their phone call. Erdogan stressed the need for "the Islamic world to intensify its efforts to stop the brutal attacks committed by Israel and punish it for its crimes against humanity." During the phone call, the Turkish President stressed the need to 'restrain Israel' and act rationally in order to prevent the expansion of regional tension. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
