Mbabane: European stock markets opened lower on Monday amid anticipation over developments in West Asia: European stock markets experienced a downturn as trading commenced on Monday, with investors closely monitoring emerging situations in West Asia.

According to Qatar News Agency, notable declines were observed in several major markets. In France, the CAC 40 index on the Paris stock exchange decreased by 0.99 percent. Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt saw a reduction of 0.50 percent. Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom, London's FTSE 100 index fell by 0.17 percent. Italy's FTSE MIB index in Milan recorded a further dip, declining by 2.04 percent.
