Toyota: A person was killed and two others were injured on Thursday in an explosion at an auto parts factory in Japan’s city of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture.

According to Qatar News Agency, a dust collector inside Chuo Spring’s Fujioka plant exploded, prompting an employee to call the fire department, local officials said.

Nineteen fire trucks were dispatched, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.

Paramedics found one employee in cardiopulmonary arrest, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other male employees sustained minor injuries.

An explosion occurred at the plant in 2023, but Thursday’s blast happened in a different building.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
