Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein signed, today, Wednesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, a memorandum of understanding for political consultations between the two countries and coordination of joint work. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Hussein met Landsbergis, today, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. During the meeting, relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields were discussed, and the current situation in the Middle East region was also addressed, stressing the need for concerted international efforts to stop the escalation and apply the principles of international law. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed for political consultations between the two countries, as well as coordination of joint work. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
