The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said that search teams have found the body of the second pilot of the AeroGulf helicopter that crashed off the coast of Umm Al Qaiwain during a training flight that had taken off Thursday evening.
The search operations resulted in finding the body of the first pilot and recovering parts of the remaining wreckage of the craft.
Investigations are still underway by the Air Accident Investigation Sector at GCAA in cooperation with the competent authorities, according to WAM.
Any developments regarding the circumstances of the accident will be announced as soon as they become available.
The GCAA extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased while calling on the public to obtain information from the authority's official channels and refrain from spreading or circulating false news and rumours.
