The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi met Director General of the Gulf Health Council Sulaiman Saleh Al Dakhil.

The secretary general stressed the importance of the active role played by the Gulf Health Council in promoting health cooperation and integration among the GCC countries.

The meeting discussed means to enhance joint Gulf action in the fields of preventive, curative and rehabilitative health, health awareness, as well as ways to provide the best healthcare services in the GCC countries.

They reviewed the best ways to ensure the success and achievement of the desired goals for convening the consultative meeting of the Committee of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Health of the GCC countries, scheduled to be held in May, in addition to discussing the efforts made to activate the "Malaria Free Peninsula" program.
