HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman attends closing ceremony of the third edition of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Camel Festival

Manama, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today attended the closing ceremony of the third edition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Camel Festival held at Taif Camel Square.

HH Shaikh Mohammed highlighted the strength of historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which continue to receive the support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

HH Shaikh Mohammed emphasised that His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's support of camel racing has contributed to the success of Bahraini competitors at the regional event.

HH Shaikh Mohammed noted the role played by HRH Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia to support legacy sports and preserve the heritage of the Arabian Gulf.

The festival's winners were crowned by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Makkah Region Governor, and deputy sponsor of the event, HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. HH Shaikh Mohammed received an award for his first-place victory in the event's first round.

HH Shaikh Mohammed highlighted that the popularity of camel racing in the GCC strengthens the bonds that unites the region's people. HH Shaikh Mohammed also praised the strong competition among camel owners and contestants.

HH Shaikh Mohammed praised the organisation of the festival, which made the event such a success, and wished Saudi Arabia and the event's organisers continued success in hosting future editions.
