The 3rd International Forum on space sciences and the training workshop for the design of the educational satellite (CanSat) kicked off on Monday in Istanbul, Turkiye, which are held by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) under the theme of “Building Tomorrows Global Workforce”.
Addressing the inaugural session of the forum, Director-General of ICESCO Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al Malik expressed his pleasure at the high turnout the current edition of the forum and workshop have witnessed, which underscores the ironclad commitment of ICESCO and its member states to upgrading fields of knowledge, innovation and cooperation in exploring the vast boundaries of space sciences.
Through its collaboration with the pioneering universities, ICESCO works to promote the scientific and technological progress in its member states, in addition to bolstering awareness on the importance of patronizing and advancing space sciences, Al Malik noted, pointing out that ICESCO aims to nurture the scientific knowledge and facilitate the production of young mindsets to be leaders of future in exploring the space.
