Information Minister, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al-Noaimi, received here today the newly-formed Board of Directors of the Bahrain Journalists' Association (BJA), led by Isa Al-Shaiji.
The minister congratulated BJA chairman and board members on obtaining the confidence of BJA's General Assembly.
Minister Al-Nuaimi affirmed that the media community in Bahrain is proud of the constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to the progress of the press and media in kingdom.
He commended the tremendous efforts made by BJA to develop the press and media work in the kingdom, praising BJA's interest in honing the skills of national media cadres to enable them to carry out their noble duties to the fullest.
Dr. Ramzan Al-Noaimi affirmed the Information Ministry's constant cooperation and coordination with BJA in order to meet common aspirations, wishing BJA's board and affiliates continued success in preserving the noble values of the journalistic profession.
BJA Chairman expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Information Minister for his support for BJA, in particular, and the press community, in particular.
He asserted that BJA will continue strengthening its cooperation with the Information Ministry to enhance the national media, and highlight the areas of progress currently witnessed by the kingdom, while adhering to the authentic journalistic values, as well as the principles of objectivity and professionalism.
