IOF Arrests 7 Palestinians in West Bank

Doha: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested seven Palestinians Thursday from the cities of Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Nablus, as well as Jalazone refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. The IOF arrested Palestinians after storming their camps and homes, the Palestinian news agency (Wafa) reported.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a related context, the IOF continues, for the third consecutive day, to close the entrance to Al-Manshiya village, south of Bethlehem. The number of checkpoints and iron gates installed by the occupation army in the West Bank has reached 898 military checkpoints and iron gates. This includes 18 iron gates installed by the occupation since January 2025, and 146 iron gates installed by the occupation after Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

Arrests in the West Bank have significantly increased since the start of the genocide that the Israeli occupation has been committing against the Gaza Strip in October 2023. These arrests have affected thousands of young Palestinians, forming the most prominent tool of the collective punishment policy against Palestinians in the West Bank.
