Iran exports $4 billion worth of engineering services to Iraq

Director General of the West Asia Office of the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization, Abdol Amir Rabehavi, announced that Iran has exported technical and engineering services worth $4 billion to Iraq. Rabehavi said in a statement that Iraq is a country in the reconstruction phase, so a special budget for three years was approved between the two countries. He pointed out that Iranian exports in this field included the construction of dams, roads, tunnels, factories and power stations. He added that Iraq has development projects worth $10 billion, of which $4 to $5 billion have been allocated to Iran. He stressed that the Iraqi market is one of the major commercial markets, as Iran exports approximately $10 billion worth of gas and goods annually to it, noting that Iranian technical and engineering services exports are in a good position compared to other countries.
