The Media Office of the National Security Advisor said in a statement: 'The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, met on the sidelines of the twelfth meeting of senior officials for security issues held in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, with the National Security Advisor to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Fayza Abu Al-Naga.' The statement added, "During the meeting, the brotherly historical relations between Iraq and Egypt were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially security and intelligence cooperation and combating terrorism." It pointed out that "the meeting witnessed praise for the visit of the Prime Minister , Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to the Republic of Egypt, which reflected Iraq's keenness to develop and consolidate relations in the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples."
