Iraq and Saudi Arabia discuss ways to strengthen relations in the field of education

The Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Safia Talib Al-Suhail, met with the Saudi Minister of Education, Yusuf Al-Bunyan, in the Ministry's building.

The two sides discussed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the outputs of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council and the Education Committee emanating from it, and the recommendations that emerged from the Council to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of education and ways to accelerate cooperation in this field.

Ambassador Safia Talib Al-Suhail affirmed the desire of the Iraqi side to strengthen relations with scientific institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such as universities, research centers, and others, for the benefit of the two brotherly countries. The two sides also discussed the elite program, which includes Saudi universities hosting Iraqi students in various disciplines.

For his part, the Minister affirmed the Kingdom's desire to strengthen the relations of the two brotherly countries in the field of education, stressing that Iraq has great scientific and cultural capabilities, noting the readiness of Saudi universities to host Iraqi students in Saudi universities, and to provide the requirements for their admission.
