Jordan Warns Over Al Aqsa Raids

Jordan: Jordan warned Tuesday of serious repercussions over continued incursions by extremist settlers into the Al Aqsa Mosque compound, urging international action to halt Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the latest raid, highlighting provocative acts such as the raising of Israeli flags under police protection. The Ministry described these actions as a flagrant breach of international law and the status quo.

The statement also rejected repeated incursions and attempts to impose new realities, including temporal and spatial division of the site. It reaffirmed that the mosque, encompassing 144 dunams, remains an exclusively Muslim place of worship under the Jerusalem Waqf and stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem.
