Doha: Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, spoke on the phone with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss developments in the Middle East region. Throughout the call, Safadi warned of the consequences of the dire escalation the region is currently witnessing, noting the importance of concerted regional and global efforts to halt this escalation and achieve an enduring ceasefire in the occupied Palestinian territories.
According to Qatar News Agency, Safadi emphasized that the international community should take a crystal-clear and effective position to compel Israel to adhere to the ceasefire deal with Lebanon and halt the assault on Syria. Both ministers deliberated on a range of bilateral and regional issues of shared concern.
