The Asian Table Tennis Union's (ATTU) General Meeting announced that Khalil Almohannadi was re-elected by acclamation as ATTU President for a second consecutive term (2024-2028), in elections held in Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the 27th Asian Table Tennis Championships. The General Meeting was attended by 31 out of 44 member state representatives; the General Meeting's quorum. The Union pointed out that there were no other candidates for the position of the presidency following the closure of the nomination period on August 23. Elections were also held to select the vice presidents and regional representatives, in addition to voting on board members and various committees. Almohannadi first assumed the presidency of ATTU during the General Meeting held in Doha in October 2021, on the sidelines of the 2021 Asian Table Tennis Championships.
